I began my career as a financial advisor in 1993 with Dean Witter and later worked with Morgan Stanley in both advisory and management positions. In 1999 I was invited by Olin Atkins to join his advisory team and was thrilled to become a partner several years later. This association was particularly satisfying since my own family had been clients of Atkins since the 1970s. In fact, our current Senior Administrative Associate, Sherry Eno, was my contact in the early 1980s when I needed tuition payments from my college savings account.
I currently steer the planning and investment selection for our practice and what I really love is working one on one with families to make this sometimes-complicated process as simple as possible. I’ve had the honor to work with some of our families for decades across several generations. Outside of my own family, these have become some of the most meaningful relationships in my life.
My formal education includes a BA from the University of Alabama and an MBA from the University of Memphis. I also currently maintain the Certified Financial Planner ® designation which I earned in 1997.
